Key Responsibilities: Customer Service Excellence: Greet and assist guests in selecting and purchasing products while providing knowledgeable recommendations tailored to their needs. Product Knowledge: Stay informed about store inventory, ensuring you can make informed suggestions and guide customers in their purchasing decisions. Training: Learn essential duties including cashiering, stocking, receiving, and assisting in food and beverage services. This includes cross-training to work as a food runner or order taker. Physical Tasks: Perform light cleaning duties, such as sweeping, mopping, and dusting, to maintain a clean and inviting environment. Manual Labor: Lift items weighing up to 30 pounds and engage in frequent bending, twisting, and stooping throughout the shift. Professionalism: Maintain a neat and professional appearance at all times while delivering exceptional customer service. Teamwork: Collaborate with colleagues and foster positive interactions with both customers and team members. REPORTS TO: General Manager / Director of Operations GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: EVERY JOB IS EVERYONE’S JOB – LEAD BY EXAMPLE EVERYDAY Follow all other critical policies including INTEGRITY, RINGING UP ALL ITEMS FOR EVERY GUEST, PROTECTING THE PURSE, GUEST IMAGE/PERCEPTION. Great each guest as they enter the location. Treat each guest with a friendly, respectful and welcoming demeanor. Offering assistance to all guest requests. Treat all co-workers with respect. Subscribe to and follow C-Store procedures for ordering, receiving, and storing / stocking merchandise. Maintain a clean sales floor and clean up spills immediately. Maintain a stocked sales floor by moving all products to the front on shelving throughout the shift. Reporting any price discrepancies to the manager on duty immediately. Properly and accurately use Vendor and Repair logs. Proper checking in of all deliveries with visible evidence if required. Follow published critical cycle count schedule for cigarettes, lottery, electronics, wine, beer, and tobacco. Execute additional counts as directed. Ensure shift change counts are completed and verified by a manager on cigarettes and lottery. Maintain food quality and sanitation when preparing or dating food. Inspect stores daily using Daily Walk to maintain optimum safety, cleanliness, sanitation and sales and report to the manager any issues discovered. Ensure GREET, SELL, THANK (give receipt). Establish and maintain a “selling culture”. Follow all company cash policies, cash audits and cash accountability including not selling lottery, tobacco products or alcohol to any Star Concessions employee. Promotes “Clean and Efficient” mentality Keep a diligent watch of the location and report any suspicious activity – call 911 if there is an emergency, robbery or theft incident – never attempt to stop a robber. PERSONAL APPEARANCE The Sales Associate position requires a professional and crisp image. This includes no visible tattoos or piercings, natural hair colors, professional hair styles that not distracting to the guest experience. Makeup must be modest and professional. Males are required to be clean shaven each day. Full beards and other facial hair is allowed but must be kept trimmed to no longer than ¼ inch in length. Acrylic fingernails are not allowed. Nail polish and jewelry must be modest. (watch and ring) Uniforms must be clean and pressed prior to each shift. Males and females with shoulder-length hair must keep it tightly and smoothly restrained in a bun or pony tail.
