About the role The role of Learning Support Teaching Assistant - High School supports students in Grades 9–12 with identified or emerging learning, developmental, behavioral, or access needs through targeted intervention, accommodation support, and collaborative planning. What you will be doing: Foster a welcoming classroom atmosphere that encourages participation from all students. Apply evidence-based strategies and interventions to create a flexible learning environment that accommodates various learning preferences and styles for diverse learning needs. Help maintain a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages participation and respect among all students. Provide one-on-one and small group instruction, facilitating activities that cater to diverse learning needs. Assist with behavior management strategies to promote positive social interactions, emotional regulation, and conflict resolution among students.
