About the role
Do you have experience working in a manufacturing warehouse and enjoy being part of a team? Western States is seeking a Warehouse Team Member to join our Butler, WI facility, just minutes from Milwaukee. In this role, you'll use industrial equipment such as pallet jacks, rider pallet trucks, reach trucks, sit-down forklifts, and roll grabs to move materials throughout the plant and warehouse. Responsibilities include receiving and storing materials, pulling FTL and LTL orders, unloading trucks, and maintaining inventory. The ideal candidate has previous warehouse shipping and receiving experience, is comfortable operating powered industrial trucks, and has experience using warehouse inventory software, data entry, shipping programs (FedEx/UPS), and printing shipping labels. WHAT DOES MY WORKDAY LOOK LIKE IN THIS ROLE? Reads production schedule, customer order, work order, shipping order, or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed. Conveys materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or to other designated areas. Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code. Fills requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items and distributes items to production workers or assembly line. Records amounts of materials or items received or distributed. Weighs or counts items for distribution within plant to ensure conformance to company standards. Uses computer to enter records. Drives the Walkie, Rider Pallet, Reach Truck, Sit Down Rider, Yale, or Roll Grab to transport stored items from warehouse to plant or to pick up items from several locations for shipment. Maintains inventory records. Receive and count stock items, and record data manually or using computer Communicate with co-workers and others to carry out job duties.
