Certified Athletic Trainer

POSITION SUMMARY: The Athletic Trainer will diagnose and treat injuries to bone and muscle under the direction of the Medical Doctor. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Evaluates an athlete’s physical condition when an injury has occurred and implements rehabilitation and or physical therapy programs for specific injuries. Informs coaching staff of athlete's health/injury status and projected return date. Coordinates with individual or team physicians on matters of protocol relative to the specific injury. Keeps record of treatments and diagnostics. May provide advice to coaches, regarding safety in weight training or other athletic programs. Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations. Other duties as assigned.
