We're seeking an experienced safety and security professional who can design, develop and deliver high-quality training programs that strengthen organisational preparedness and security resilience across NSW. This is an exciting opportunity to combine your expertise in training facilitation, stakeholder engagement and security risk management to make a real impact across a diverse and geographically dispersed workforce. Essential Requirements Minimum 3 years’ experience in delivering safety and security related training Current Driver Licence. Willingness and ability to undertake regular travel across NSW, including metropolitan, regional and remote locations. Certificate IV Training and Assessment (desirable) About the role As the Advisor, Safety Security Capability and Planning, you will play a key role in developing and enhancing safety and security capability across the organisation. You will design, develop and deliver training programs, workshops and awareness initiatives that support a proactive approach to security preparedness, risk management and resilience. Working closely with operational leaders and key stakeholders, you'll ensure training content remains current, practical and aligned with emerging risks and organisational requirements. This role offers a hybrid work environment, with regular travel required across metropolitan, regional and remote NSW locations to facilitate face-to-face training sessions and support organisational capability initiatives. Key Responsibilities Design, develop and maintain safety and security training packages, learning materials and capability programs. Deliver engaging face-to-face training, workshops and awareness sessions to diverse audiences across NSW. Facilitate learning that builds capability in security preparedness, risk awareness and incident response. Support the development and implementation of physical security and risk management frameworks. Conduct threat and vulnerability assessments and provide practical security risk advice. Support security-related programs, initiatives and site-based activities that improve organisational readiness. Review and continuously improve training materials to ensure relevance, effectiveness and alignment with emerging risks. Build strong partnerships with stakeholders to understand training needs and drive capability outcomes. Contribute to the development of policies, procedures and lessons learned to strengthen organisational resilience. About You To be successful, you will bring: Demonstrated experience delivering face-to-face training and facilitating workshops in a safety, security, emergency management, compliance or related environment. Experience developing training programs, learning resources and capability frameworks from concept through to implementation. Strong presentation and communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence a wide range of stakeholders. Knowledge of security, safety, risk management or protective security principles. Experience working in operational environments where priorities can change quickly. Strong stakeholder engagement, problem-solving and relationship management skills. The ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across teams. A commitment to continuous improvement and customer-focused outcomes.
