Career TEAM is looking to hire an Intake Specialist in the Jefferson Parish - Metairie area who will be responsible for processing, documenting, and communicating customer service inflow across multiple intake portals. This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

Your Impact on Career TEAM’s Success :
- Act as a first line of contact with participants interested in enrolling into WIOA services
- Share information on programs and act as a first line of contact with participants interested in enrolling in WIOA services
- Share information on activities, and offerings to all interested participants and answer questions participants may have
- Collect, respond, and initiate tracking for all virtually submitted applications for service
- Respond to phone and social media service inquiries
- Maintain current knowledge of workforce activities across the Greater Memphis area to ensure accurate and responsive assistance for customers engaged
- Maintain inventory of all virtual program orientation completions and match to program applicants, updating tracking as appropriate
- Collect and process uploaded program information, including appropriate documentation on applicable tracking systems
- Respond to inquiries (both internal and external) regarding application status
- Track and prepare monthly reports regarding incoming calls and touchpoints received
- Prepare monthly facility access reports to reflect both in-person and incoming phone calls
- Follow all policies, procedures, and regulations related to eligibility documentation
- Approach each day and task with a “ZAG” mindset
- Other duties and projects as needed for the success of the program
The Ideal Qualifications for this Position Include :
- Associate’s degree or higher, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Strong communication skills and knowledge of community resources
- Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make well-thought-out decisions
- Must have MS Word and Excel skills at minimum, and the ability to learn specialized databases and software systems
- Ability to work in a variety of settings with a culturally diverse customer base with the ability to be culturally sensitive
- Ability to serve as a role model to customers and motivate them towards achieving goals
- Ability to meet and exceed set goals and objectives
- Excellent interpersonal, time management, customer service, organizational skills, and communication skills, both oral and written required
- Knowledgeable about the WIOA program and other workforce program requirements
- A demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful, and efficient in maintaining a high level of confidentiality
- Exceptional time management skills to meet deadlines and work under pressure
- Strong multitasking abilities and proactive approach to tasks
- Training in Trauma Informed Care, evidence-based practice, and/or whole-family services
- Bilingual or Multilingual preferred
- A Valid Driver’s License
Salary: $45,000/ yr
Travel : The position may require local travel up to 30% of the time
