Position Type: Out of School Hours Care Employment Status: Casual Classification Level: ESO2 The Opportunity Dominican School is dedicated to providing a nurturing and enriching environment for children beyond regular school hours. We are seeking passionate and dedicated Out of School Hours Care (OSHC) Educators to join our team. Our commitment is to create a safe, engaging, and supportive space for children to thrive during our Out of School Hours Care and Vacation Care Services. This role is ideal for qualified or unqualified OSHC professionals ready to work within a service grounded in Catholic values, community partnership and the national quality framework. Key responsibilities include: Working with an experienced, dedicated and friendly team, you will: • Provide high-quality supervision to children in a supportive and professional manner, ensuring the safety, dignity and inclusion of all. • Assist in the preparation and implementation of age-appropriate activities that support student’s learning, social development and wellbeing. • Foster strong relationships with students, families, staff and the wider school-community. • Support other daily tasks including general cleaning duties, food service and recording your observations and reflections. About You We are looking for someone with a genuine desire to work with children and be willing to engage with them in a positive, sensitive, and respectful manner. You will have: • Sound time management skills, organisational skills, and ability to follow procedures. • A passion for empowering young children and providing engaging experiences. • Ability to work and communicate effectively with students, with experience working with children with special needs highly desirable. • Knowledge of food preparation and food safety procedures would be advantageous. • Able to work with minimal direction and supervision, analyse and plan approaches to apply effective solutions to a range of problems. Required Qualifications/Certifications You will be required to hold or willing to obtain: • Approved First Aid qualification (HLTAID012), including CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis. • Current Working with Children Check (WWCC). • Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect (RRHAN) certification. • Do Food Safely certificate. • National Child Safety Training (ECEC) certification. • Ability to meet Work Health and Safety obligations. • For capacity to be appointed as a Responsible Person, when required, Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care (ACECQA approved) or higher qualification.
