Release Control Lead

Roles and Responsibilities Improve quality of release, make a plan for release and control it across the organization. Providing visibility of Information related to releases and making it available when it is required to support decision making for managements. 1) Make release plans Support making and changing a yearly release schedule Coordinate and make decision with stakeholders validating release packages and key releases based on the yearly release schedule. Support key release selection for management, Assign release coordinator Re-define release packages through preparation to implementation of release with release coordinator. 2) Release management and report Coordinate multiple releases in a cross-sectional way to have high quality release. Coordination and prioritization of risks and issues related to release package change with stakeholders. Make a decision of Go/No Go for releases based on the release judgment criteria. If the release does not meet the criteria, reject or postpone the release and make an escalation. Evaluate important issue and risks reported by release coordinator and report it to stakeholders and management when required. Manage the activities of release coordinators and coach them. 3) Improve release processes Design, implement and improve for release management guide line and processes. Essential Skills More than 10 years general IT experience with minimum 5 years IT development experience. At least 2 years’ experience in overall architecture discipline (Applications, Data, Technical etc.) Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent work experience Actual achievement of managing more than 5 development projects of 100 man-months. (Know-how) Experience of release control for multiple projects. Extensive experience and understanding of SDLC and in-depth knowledge of CMMi model.
