Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Safety Management, Occupational Safety & Health, or CSP certified
- 2+ years of job-related experience
- Flexible scheduling to include nights and weekends
- Bi-lingual; speak, read & write Spanish fluently
- Proficiency with SharePoint, Word, Excel, Power-Point
Job Description:
The Safety Specialist will be responsible of providing guidance in the development, administration, and implementation of safety programs that result in a safe and healthy work environment for all employees.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provides administrative and technical advice to both management and employees.
- Ensures compliance with all Federal, State & local laws and regulations.
- Reviews, updates, and communicates safety procedures.
- Promotes employee safety awareness by coordinating and facilitating engaging training.
- Executes tactical strategy of Company Safety Program.
- Collects and interprets data from job-hazard analyses.
- Conducts investigations and reports to management safety trends.
- Key stakeholder in Department Safety Committees.
- Manages incentive programs and serves as the Safety Officer during emergency situations.
- Makes recommendations on disciplinary action to management to drive a safety culture of accountability.
- Promotes wellness and positive behaviors through a meaningful recognition program.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Communicates effectively with the ability to facilitate training to a wide variety of audiences.
