About the role
Purpose The Site Manager is responsible for the overall management and oversight of Berry Aviation's operations at the Ronald Reagan Ballistic Missile Defense Test Site in Kwajalein Atoll, Republic of the Marshall Islands. This position ensures safe, efficient, and compliant flight operations while serving as the primary liaison between Berry Aviation, the customer, and other key stakeholders. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Serve as the primary on-site company representative, fostering strong customer relationships while promptly addressing operational concerns and escalating issues to the Program Manager as appropriate. Provide leadership, coaching, and mentoring and performance feedback to site personnel by establishing expectations, delegating responsibilities, monitoring results, and promoting employee engagement, accountability, and professional development. Foster a positive work environment that supports teamwork, open communication, and a culture of safety and operational excellence. Ensure employees receive required training, certifications, and recurring qualifications necessary to perform their duties. Monitor operational performance and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety, quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction. Lead or support internal and external audits and ensure timely implementation of corrective actions. Review and approve employee schedules, time records, and leave requests in accordance with company policy. Oversee site operations to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant execution of all contractual requirements in accordance with applicable USAKA, Army, FAA, customer, and company policies, procedures, and regulations. Maintains effective working relationships with U.S. Army Kwajalein Atoll (USAKA), Prime Contractor personnel, Berry Aviation leadership, and other contractor representatives as directed by the Program Manager. Ensure contractual obligations and performance requirements are met in accordance with customer expectations and the direction of the Program Manager. Assists the Program Manager in the development of both current and long-range operational, administrative and financial forecasts with Berry Aviation, Inc. and Prime Contractor management. In cooperation with the Program Manager, consults and coordinates with the Director of Operations, Flight Maintenance, Chief Inspector/Quality Control Manager, and Aviation Safety Official to ensure the integrity of the flight safety program. Assist Program Manager in maintaining appropriate staffing levels by monitoring workload, employee morale, and operational requirements. Coordinate with Program Management and BAI Director of Safety to maintain a continuing and evolving program of aviation safety and accident prevention. Performs risk management activities to ensure services are delivered safely, reliably, on schedule, and in a cost-effective manner. Act on behalf of the Program Manager when delegated to evaluate program performance, including financial, operational, and work force considerations. Works with BAI HR and Program Management to screen, evaluate, and hire qualified personnel. Plans, organizes, directs, and controls various human and material resources to successfully accomplish the objectives of the customer. Other duties as assigned.
