Downtown Restaurant Group JOB TITLE: Assistant Manager DEPARTMENT/RESTAURANT: Andiamo Italian Steakhouse STATUS: Full-Time JOB SUMMARY: The Assistant Kitchen Manager position acts as the Assistant to the Kitchen Manager to ensure smooth kitchen operations and abide by health and sanitation guidelines. Ensures efficient kitchen operations, maintain high production, productivity, quality and customer service standards. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: • Responsible for practicing, supporting, and promoting the Company Service Standards at all times • Assisting with ordering, inventory, and receiving • Understanding and ensuring standard portion sizes, cooking methods, plate presentation, quality standards, and kitchen policies. • Assisting with scheduling employees • Knowledge of opening and closing kitchen procedures • Ensuring temperature logs accuracy and completion daily QUALIFICATIONS: • Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information • Professional personal appearance • Excellent communication and customer service skills • Flexibility • Interpersonal skills • Problem-solving, organizational and teamwork skills EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: • High School graduate or equivalent • Clark County Health District Card • 1-3 years of supervisory experience in a food service or retail environment • Proven track record of leadership and managerial skills while providing exceptional customer service PHYSICAL, MENTAL AND WORK ENVIRONMENT: • Requires normal, corrective vision range, the ability to see color and the ability to distinguish letters, numbers and symbols • Manual dexterity to operate job related equipment • Performance of job duties will require standing, walking, lifting, reaching, pushing, pulling and grasping. • These tasks include the maintenance and care of assigned area. • Constant contact with fellow Team Members • Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods of time DISCLAIMER: This is not necessarily an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, skills, duties, requirements efforts or working conditions associated with the job.
