Adult Residential Treatment Facility $29.85 - $40.72 Part Time; 24 - 32 hours a week Schedule Options: some flexibility on days of the week within swing shift hours Swing Shift 3pm - 11pm: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday Swing Shift 3pm - 11pm: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday Comprehensive Life Resources is looking for a qualified LPN to join our Adult Residential Treatment Facility in Tacoma, WA. Serves as a member of an organization that welcomes, engages, and serves individuals with complex wellness needs. Responsibilities Provide nursing and medical services to clients Provide education regarding prescribed treatment Document in the progress notes the provision of care and the clinical and behavioral observations of clients Administer and document medications, adhering to state and program guidelines Provide first aid and emergency medical care as needed, following program guidelines Transcribe provider orders, following program protocols Measure and document client vital signs Other duties within the scope of practice as outlined by the Washington State Board of Nursing Attend all mandatory meetings Maintain licensure, certification and other requirements for the position. Observe and assess clients in terms of therapeutic response to medication and the nursing care plan. Assist clients with activities of daily living as appropriate Assist in monitoring and documenting medical supplies, floor stock, and pharmacy communication. Assist in all aspects of the laboratory specimen, collection and throughput. Adhere to program’s infection control policy and protocols. Plan and lead educational and information groups for clients as assigned. Work to ensure effective communication among team members during and between shifts. Coordinate with school and staff regarding outside medical appointments and activities. Transport and attend medical appointments with residents Work with team members to create and contribute to a positive learning environment for all Competencies Adhere to the incident reporting process and safety protocols. Ensure that ethical and professional standards of practice are maintained. Understands and respects diverse backgrounds and a commitment to culturally competent practice. Demonstrates ethical decision-making skills and appropriate boundaries. Promote whole health care as a key to people’s recovery and quality of life. Ability to receive consultation and apply feedback, is accountable, and contributes to a positive work environment. Develops and maintains a self-care plan, seeks supervision when needed and recognizes signs of burnout. Ability to complete paperwork and documentation within required timeframes, meeting content requirements. Ability to apply appropriate codes to patient care services as outlined by program guidelines. Compliance with competencies determined by Nursing Director. Participate in competency trainings identified by Human Resources and assigned program. Observe and assess clients in terms of therapeutic response to medication and the nursing care plan.
