AnthroMed Education is seeking a School District Occupational Therapist to join our team for FMLA coverage during the 2026–2027 school year in Lake Orion, MI . This full-time opportunity supports students across multiple buildings, helping them develop the functional, sensory, fine motor, and self-care skills needed to be successful in the classroom and throughout the school day. You'll collaborate closely with educators, families, and related service providers to create meaningful, student-centered outcomes while receiving the ongoing support and mentorship AnthroMed is known for.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to K-12 students; caseload of 50-55 students
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with students' IEP goals
- Support students of all ages and assist with therapy activities across multiple buildings in the district
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, families, and related service providers to promote student success
- Recommend adaptive equipment, environmental modifications, and sensory strategies to improve participation in school routines
- Monitor student progress, maintain accurate documentation, and complete required Medicaid and IEP paperwork
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute meaningful recommendations regarding student needs and services
Qualifications
- Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Current or eligible Michigan Occupational Therapist licensure
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
- Previous pediatric or school-based experience is preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply
