Test Line Technician – Pump Integrations Job Description Department: Manufacturing Job Status: Full-Time FLSA Status: Salary, Non-Exempt Reports To: Test Line Manager – Pump Integrations Location: Ponca City, OK Amount of Travel Required: None Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. Positions Supervised: None POSITION SUMMARY: The Test Line Technician – Pump Integrations is responsible for supporting the installation, alignment, testing, and troubleshooting of pump systems and related mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical components. This role performs a wide range of hands on activities—from basic setup and inspection to advanced system level testing and diagnostics—ensuring equipment meets performance, safety, and quality standards. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (The following duties and responsibilities are all essential job functions, as defined by the ADA, except for those that begin with the word "may") Assist with installing pumps, motors, valves, and related components. Perform pump and motor alignments using hand tools, dial indicators, or laser alignment systems (based on skill level). Support test setup by routing hoses, installing gauges, preparing instrumentation, and verifying connections. Conduct leak checks, basic inspections, and connection verifications. Set up and execute pump testing, including pressure, flow, temperature, and vibration checks. Perform full pump system testing such as flow curves, NPSH validation, vibration trending, and performance verification (senior level tasks). Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, instrumentation, and alignment issues of varying complexity. Assist with or perform VFD setup, instrumentation wiring, and control panel checks. Read and interpret P&IDs, mechanical drawings, wiring diagrams, and hydraulic schematics with appropriate supervision depending on experience. Document inspection data, test results, abnormalities, and corrective actions. Lead high complexity or customer witness test setups (advanced level responsibility). Provide recommendations for test process improvements or design enhancements. Train and mentor Operators and lower level Technicians as needed. Support failure analysis and assist Engineering and Quality teams with root cause investigations. Follow LOTO procedures, rotating equipment safety practices, and all relevant safety protocols. Perform other related duties as assigned to support operational success and business continuity.
