About the role

The Connectivity Engineer is responsible for verification activities as well as taking ownership of component development of one or several electrical components. Core responsibilities include: Key Responsibilities Lead verification and validation activities for telematics and connectivity systems, both on test rigs and in vehicle environments Define, write, and maintain test cases and plan verification activities Perform root cause analysis and troubleshooting for reported faults and defects Own component development across all lifecycle stages, from concept to release Ensure compliance with technical, quality, and release standards at each development phase Collaborate closely with suppliers and internal stakeholders to guide and review component development Actively contribute to an Agile development environment, managing tasks through JIRA Support product documentation, version control, and release processes Communicate technical status, risks, and issues clearly to cross-functional teams Required Qualifications 8+ years of experience in connectivity, telematics, or automotive electronics engineering 5+ years of experience in verification and validation (V&V) activities Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electronics & Communication Engineering or a related field Hands-on experience with test planning, test case design, and execution Solid problem-solving skills with proven experience in root cause analysis Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments using tools such as JIRA Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Bilingual proficiency in Japanese (JLPT N3+) and English for technical and business communication
