For more information, visit www.worldbank.org Vice-Presidency Context The Budget and Procurement Vice Presidency (WBP) is organized into five departments under a Vice President: (1) WBPCU- WBG, Budget Partners, Corporate and Knowledge Units: Providing strategic and operational leadership in finance planning and budget oversight to WBG executive, compliance, corporate, finance, and knowledge VPUs; (2) WBPRU- IBRD/IDA Budget Partners, Regional Units: Providing strategic and operational leadership in finance planning and budget oversight to regional VPUs and Country Office Accounting management and oversight, globally; (3) WBPCE- WBG Center of Excellence: Leading planning, reporting, shared services, and budget solutions; (4) WBPCP- WBG Corporate Procurement: Overseeing sourcing, supplier management, and operational support; and (5) CSRDR- IFC MIGA Budget Partners: Providing strategic and operational leadership in finance planning and budget oversight to IFC and MIGA clients, globally. WBP’ service delivery model has three core roles: (1) Business Partners (serving clients directly with focus on decision support and performance oversight); (2) Centers of Expertise (providing thought-leadership and analytics, designing business finance policies, practices and systems, and coordinating knowledge management); and (3) Service Center (managing delivery of high volume and transactional and reporting services across Bank, including help desk support to clients). Unit Context: WBP is seeking to fill position of Finance Analyst for the following units: CSSRM, WBPGA and WBPKB. The Finance Analyst will provide advanced financial analysis, planning, reporting, forecasting and decision-support services to strengthen resource management, client responsiveness, and operational performance. The incumbent will serve as a strategic finance and analytics partner, delivering insightful financial and data-driven recommendations that support effective decision-making and organizational performance. The role will drive financial analysis, risk identification, planning, and performance monitoring while strengthening data quality, governance, and reporting processes. Leveraging digital finance solutions and AI-enabled tools, the incumbent will enhance reporting, automate workflows, improve operational efficiency, and transform complex data into clear, actionable insights for management and stakeholders. Additionally, the position will provide high-impact analytical support, executive briefings, and ad hoc strategic analyses to advance business objectives and continuous improvement initiatives. Finance Analysts are expected to be fungible and able to work across different assignments over time, depending on business needs and professional development objectives. Duties and accountabilities: Financial Planning and Resource Management • Support budget formulation, resource allocation, and financial planning activities across business portfolios. • Provide analytical support for funding decisions, resource requirements, and emerging business priorities. • Contribute to effective utilization of resources through financial analysis and planning insights. Financial Performance and Risk Management • Develop financial reports, forecasts, dashboards, and management insights to support decision-making. • Monitor financial and operational performance, identify risks and drivers, and recommend opportunities for resource optimization. • Perform variance, trend, and scenario analyses to support planning, forecasting, and performance management. Analytics and Business Partnership • Deliver data-driven analytics, reporting, and visualization solutions to support budget performance and resource management. • Partner with finance, operations, and business teams to translate complex data into actionable insights and recommendations. • Strengthen data quality, reporting standards, controls, and governance practices. • Leverage analytics, benchmarking, and AI-enabled solutions to enhance reporting, decision support, and business outcomes. • Prepare strategic analyses, presentations, and briefing materials for management and stakeholders. Continuous Improvement and Corporate Contributions • Support departmental and institutional initiatives that advance business objectives. • Drive process simplification, automation, and operational excellence through innovative and AI-enabled solutions. • Foster knowledge sharing, collaboration, and continuous learning across teams.
