Position Summary/Objective:

Lead day‑to‑day warehouse operations for raw materials, packaging, and finished goods (FG) in a food‑manufacturing environment. Oversee inbound and outbound activities—timely receiving, dock‑to‑stock, put‑away, picking, staging, and shipping—while maintaining safety, GMP compliance, and high inventory accuracy in support of production schedules. Drive team performance using WMS/ERP (e.g., SAP) and advanced Excel, publish KPIs, and deliver continuous improvement across space, flow, and service.

1 Primary Responsibilities:

1.1 Safety & Compliance

  • Champion a safety‑first culture; conduct safety talks, incident investigations, and corrective actions.
  • Ensure GMP/food safety and regulatory compliance; lead warehouse readiness for internal/external audits.
  • Inbound, Outbound & FG Execution
  • Plan and manage receiving, dock scheduling, dock‑to‑stock, put‑away, replenishment, picking, staging, and shipment of FG.
  • Maintain flow discipline (segregation, labeling, traceability) and right‑first‑time quality at each step.
  • Inventory Control & Traceability
  • Own cycle counts and discrepancy reconciliation; sustain high inventory accuracy.
  • Ensure accurate WMS/ERP transactions for RM/PK/FG movements and complete, auditable documentation.

1.2 Equipment & Licensing

  • Oversee safe operation and maintenance of forklifts, reach trucks, and other MHE; verify operator certifications and training.

1.3 Data, KPI & Reporting

  • Monitor/publish KPIs (e.g., inventory accuracy, pick accuracy, fill rate, dock‑to‑stock time, cycle‑count completion).
  • Analyze trends and drive corrective actions; implement CI projects to improve service, quality, and cost.
  • People Leadership
  • Lead, coach, and develop associates; provide performance feedback and skills training on SOPs/equipment.
  • Promote engagement, teamwork, and professional communication across shifts; ensure disciplined handovers.
  • Cross‑Functional Collaboration
  • Partner with Production, Procurement, Quality, Finance, and Engineering to align priorities and remove bottlenecks.
  • Provide operational inputs for AOP/strategic planning, capacity, and space utilization.

2 Education and Qualifications:

2.1 Required

  • 3+ warehouse supervisory experience in food manufacturing companies
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and ERP (e.g., SAP); advanced Excel (lookups, pivots, charts).
  • Experience in food manufacturing or similarly regulated environments, including handling of raw materials and packaging for production.
  • Working knowledge of food industry audits and standards: BRC, CFIA, HACCP/SQF, and GFSI.

2.2 Preferred

  • Post‑secondary education in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience leading audit readiness and CAPA closure; CHEP/returnable management.

3 Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong understanding of KPIs and performance management; translates data into practical actions.
  • Excellent planning, prioritization, and problem‑solving in a fast‑paced environment with changing priorities.
  • Clear, professional communication; effective collaborator across functions and shifts.

4 Working Conditions:

  • On‑site role in a manufacturing warehouse; standing, walking, and lifting per MHE/safety guidelines.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, extended hours, and weekends as needed to support production schedules and peak periods.
  • Ability to adapt to urgent requests and operational surges while maintaining compliance and service levels.
