Lake Region Beer Cashier - Hawley

Position Overview: As a Beer Clerk you will be responsible for assisting customers by providing excellent customer service, bagging groceries and performing various tasks to ensure a clean and organized work environment. RESPONSIBILITIES: • Greeting customers in a friendly and welcoming manner • Assisting customers with locating products, answering inquiries, and providing information about promotions or discounts • Efficiently bagging groceries based on customer preferences as well as proper handling of items to prevent damage • Assisting in loading groceries to customers’ vehicles if and when needed • Retrieving shopping carts from the parking lot and returning to appropriate corrals • Keeping storage areas clean, organized and free of debris • Performing general cleaning duties, such as but not limited to sweeping, mopping, and wiping down surfaces to maintain a clean store • Empty trash receptacles and making sure trash is properly disposed of • Handle special customer requests including but not limited to providing assistance to elderly or disabled customers • Assisting cashiers by organizing and maintaining bagging supplies • Ensuring front end area including checkout lanes and entrance is clean and well organized • Adhere to all company safety standards • Perform other duties as assigned by leadership Environment: • Must be able to work in various temperatures. Pay: • $15.00 per hour Schedule: • Must have a flexible schedule to work weekdays evenings and holidays • Evenings and Weekends a MUST • Part time position 25 hours a week. Experience: • Preferred: Zero - One (0-1) year retail experience or relevant experience • ServeSafe certification or comparable Skills: • Physical abilities: May be required to lift up to 80-85lbs.; standing, bending, lifting and twisting for up to 90% of your shift; frequently lifting product from various heights including floor level to over your head; Ability to stand or walk at least 10 hours daily; working in various temperature controlled environments; walking on a variety of flooring such as concrete, tile, carpet etc • Strong communication Skills: Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with peers and leaders on a daily basis • Organizational Skills: Ability to fulfill customer orders in a timely manner; ability to prioritize and meet deadlines • Working in a team based environment: Working independently and as a team player to ensure our customers are receiving orders timely and with the highest quality • Quality: Maintain integrity and high standards of product handling from all perspectives • Safety Culture: Maintain and drive safety policies; driving for accountability of safe practices throughout shift
