Begin Anew - Adult High School Equivalency Tutor

Adult Education High School Equivalency (HSE) Tutor will agree to uphold the mission, vision, and statement of faith of Begin Anew. Under the guidance and direction of the Program Manager, the HSE Tutor will: Assist adult students in a classroom setting with preparation for the High School Equivalency (GED) test in one of five subjects: Math, Reading, Writing, Social Studies, Science. Instruction is one-on-one or in a small group. Tutors can request a subject they are most comfortable instructing in, and teaching materials with answer keys are provided by the Program Manager. Update each student’s weekly work log indicating subject areas studied and next steps. Develop relationships with students. Assist Childcare Coordinator with Story Time and Play Time. May include infant care including feeding, diapering, etc. May include assisting the Program Manager in class set up for the evening. Positions are open in: *Franklin on Tuesday and Thursday evenings *Madison on Monday and Thursday evenings *Crievewood on Tuesday and Thursday evenings *Woodbine area on Monday and Thursday evenings
