You will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting, maintaining strong internal controls, and driving process improvements across multiple retail locations. Your leadership will help shape a high-performing team that supports Trivett’s continued growth and success. Key Responsibilities Manage and oversee all accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash management, reconciliations, fixed assets, and general ledger activity. Lead, mentor, and develop Accounting team members to ensure departmental goals, deadlines, and performance expectations are achieved. Manage the monthly and year-end financial close processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting. Review and analyze financial statements, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules to ensure accuracy and compliance. Maintain and strengthen internal controls, accounting procedures, and financial policies to safeguard company assets. Assist in the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, and financial analyses to support executive decision-making. Monitor financial performance and identify trends, risks, and opportunities for operational improvement. Oversee expense allocations and ensure accurate store-level and departmental reporting. Coordinate with external auditors, tax professionals, insurance providers, and regulatory agencies, as needed. Review payroll-related accounting entries and employee-related expenses for accuracy. Ensure vendor payments are processed accurately and on time. Research accounting issues and resolve discrepancies, while maintaining thorough documentation. Collaborate with other departments and Executive leadership to support company initiatives and improve business processes. Develop and implement process improvements that enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability within Accounting. Prepare and review journal entries, financial analyses, and management reports. Support the Controller and Executive leadership team with special projects, strategic initiatives, and financial modeling. Ensure adequate cross-training within the department to maintain continuity of operations and coverage during peak periods.
