PT Custodian - Triphahn Center

Part-Time Custodian Non-Exempt Function The Building Facilities Part-Time Custodian completes custodial and maintenance of park buildings as assigned. Supervision Reports to the Building Maintenance Supervisor and Facility Manager Days/Hours of Work: Triphahn Center (10-15 hours) Weekday TBD Weekends Closing Shifts Essential Functions/Responsibilities General Administration Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions. Knowledge of floor care practices, restroom sanitation and general custodial techniques. Accomplish job assignments with a minimum amount of supervision. Responsible for the care and use of all park district equipment. Responsible for completion of assigned jobs. Perform all job assignments in a professional manner. Responsible for set ups and take downs of facility equipment and rentals. Maintain open communication with supervisors. Perform all other duties as assigned. Marginal Functions/Responsibilities Maintain work area in an organized and safe standard. Remove snow and ice from public walkway. Perform other duties as required supervisors. Customer Service Staff will be courteous at all times. Will assist in checking in and out renters. Provide facility tours to the public. Safety, Health and Loss Control Support, promote or cause to be changed, all safety, health and loss control policies of the Hoffman Estates Park District. Require and insure that he/she utilizes proper personal protective equipment provided for use in conducting assigned work tasks.
