Dishwasher / Prep Cook (Full-Time, 2-Year Term) Location: Iqaluit, NU Property: Frobisher Inn The Frobisher Inn is seeking a motivated and reliable Dishwasher / Prep Cook to join our kitchen team. This is a full-time, two-year term position that combines both dishwashing and food preparation responsibilities in a fast-paced hospitality environment. About the Role This hybrid position supports daily kitchen operations by ensuring cleanliness and assisting with food preparation. You will play a key role in maintaining kitchen efficiency and supporting our culinary team across multiple outlets. You may be scheduled to support various food and beverage outlets within the Frobisher Inn, including: • The Frob Eatery (full-service restaurant) • Carbrew Café (quick service / coffee shop) • Storehouse Bar & Grill (casual dining and lounge) Key Responsibilities • Perform dishwashing duties, including cleaning kitchen equipment, utensils, and dishware • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen and dishwashing areas • Assist with basic food preparation (e.g., chopping, portioning, ingredient prep) • Support cooks and chefs with daily kitchen tasks • Follow all health, safety, and food handling standards • Assist with receiving and organizing deliveries as needed Qualifications & Skills • Previous kitchen or food service experience is an asset • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment • Strong attention to cleanliness and organization • Willingness to take direction and support multiple kitchen functions • Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays Employment Details • Status: Full-Time, Two-Year Fixed Term • Hours: Flexible scheduling required • Location: On-site in Iqaluit, NU • Compensation: Hourly (based on experience) Additional Information • Subsidized staff housing is available, including relocation to Iqaluit • This position is not eligible for employer sponsorship, except where applicable under the Francophone Mobility Program • Local candidates are strongly encouraged to apply
