Cafe Attendant

The Rivers of Grosse Pointe Woods General Tasks: Typical daily tasks of the Cafe attendant include, but are not limited to: Provide the highest quality of customer service is available for our Residents. Demonstrate respect for Employees and respond to needs of Residents by complying with facility policies. Store and handle all food according to facility procedures and safe food handling guidelines. Assist with food preparation as assigned. Prepare food items according to standardized recipes assuring safe food handling practices. Operate institutional food preparation equipment according to manufacturer and supervisory direction. Assist with the set-up of the food tray line. Prepare and deliver nourishment, food supplements and snacks to units as scheduled. Report refusal of served meal to Department Manager and to the Supervisor so alternate meals can be provided. Prepare and serve alternate meals as directed. Clean dishes, utensils, and equipment according to facility procedures. Run and maintain dish machines according to manufacturer directions. Report all equipment problems to Department Manager promptly. Maintain food service equipment in a clean and safe operating condition according to facility procedures. Maintains food service workspaces in clean and safe condition at all times. Clean workspaces, cooking and serving equipment, trays and dishes according to facility procedures. Report any signs of rodent or pests to Department Manager immediately. Report injury to self or others to Department Manager immediately. Assist the Department Manager with state inspection preparation. Possess and demonstrate knowledge of emergency and disaster procedures of the facility including the location of emergency phone numbers. Demonstrate ability to carry out the essential functions of the job (with or without reasonable accommodation). Perform other duties as assigned
