Job Description: Candidate is responsible for leading the Quality Assurance effort within the Crawfordsville’s Plant. The candidate will ensure that advanced quality methods are used to evaluate products and processes within the Plant. This position will be recognized for expertise in the quality systems and their application within the location. The candidate will provide representation on quality concerns to both suppliers and customers. The candidate will provide leadership, personal and professional growth opportunities, and strategic planning for members on the Quality Team. The candidate will do his/her own tactical planning to help achieve plant goals and will provide strategic planning input to the Crawfordsville Quality Manager. The position requires that the candidate work effectively in a team environment. Duties and Responsibilities: Integration of quality systems to ensure a common quality system throughout the North American Plant locations. Provide the manufacturing personnel with quality systems and tools to allow effective evaluation of products and processes. Ensure the application of advanced quality tools to provide process improvement to the manufacturing group. Ensure that quality tools and system training are adequate to meet the Plant goals. Provide documentation systems that are appropriate for international registration as appropriate. Provide leadership and direction for the group to enable them to perform their tasks. Provide tactical and strategic planning for the quality group. Handle the HR function, such as evaluations, payroll, staffing and other tasks as required to be compliant with CSI Policy. Supervisory Responsibilities: This position reports to the Quality Manager, Crawfordsville. This position functions on the Plant Lead Team, consisting of additional technologists in Engineering and Maintenance, planning and scheduling positions, and production supervisors. This position will interface frequently with the Quality Managers from other North American Plants, as well as staff from CSI corporate. The candidate will interface directly with many internal resources including but not limited to laboratory personnel, product design engineers, Plant manufacturing engineers, Plant production personnel, value creation teams and market portfolio teams.
