Position Summary
The Residential Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day oversight of an assigned dorm at residential treatment center, ensuring the safety, wellbeing, and quality of care for all clients housed in the dorm. This role supervises both Lead Clinical Assistants and Clinical Assistants, coordinates shift coverage, enforces facility processes, policies and procedures, and serves as the primary point of escalation for incidents, staffing issues, and client needs during their assigned shift or coverage period. In short, the Residential Supervisor “owns” the shift.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise, mentor and coach residential direct care staff (Lead Clinical Assistants and Clinical Assistants) to ensure adequate coverage and quality of care across all shifts. Works with Program administrator on dorm shift coverage and communicates call outs to team members.
- Conduct regular staff check-ins, performance feedback, and supports ongoing training and competency development. Primary point of contact/training for any new hires on shift to ensure they have the tools and information to do their job correctly.
- Partners with clinical staff to monitor and enforce adherence to client treatment/support plans
- Respond to and de-escalate crisis situations, behavioral incidents, and emergencies; complete required incident documentation
- Partners with medical team to oversee medication administration protocols
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation of shift activities, client notes, and incident reports
