QUICK-APPLY Option Available (drop your resume) Departments: Production, Quality, Yard, Maintenance, and Tooling DEPARTMENT CORE RESPONSIBILITIES Production Move, organize, and inspect coil Operate crane, end facer, OTO saw, and/or cross-roll straightener Perform the splicing process and/or crush test Set up end welder Assist in mill changeovers Cut material to specific tolerance Size and straighten pipe Make adjustments to CRS rolls for setups and crooked pipe Maintenance Perform periodic inspections, tests, and maintenance procedures on equipment to preserve and perpetuate proper functionality Adjust, repairs, and/or replaces defective parts as needed. Control and communicate preventive maintenance work requirements and manages schedule of outcome resolution as needed Install and connect power supply wiring and conduit for newly installed equipment Complete shift notes accurately and follows up on items that still need repaired Communicate issues that require supervisory or managerial expertise Tooling Change over mill with designated tooling and aligns it to ensure production is on-spec Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, blueprints, diagrams, and equipment specifications Maintain accuracy and account of tooling equipment Perform preventative maintenance periodically and troubleshoots as needed Quality Correct issues in any salvageable pipe Collect, organize, prep, test, and report samples Perform the drift and stenciling operation of pipes approved by the Final Inspector Verify calibration of tool and accurately record the measurement readout and generate the tally sheet reporting each pipe stenciled Safetly operate acetylene torch, plasma arc torch, hand grinder, forklift, overhead cranes, and other related shop equipment Perform specified calibrations, NDT, and evaluations for acceptance or rejection determinations according to written instructions and record, interpret, and/or evaluate results respective to codes, standards, and specifications Yard Bundle pipe, unload trucks, and set boards Operate forklift to lift and move pipe as well as load/unload trucks and pipe racks Other : Temporarily assume the duties and responsibilities of other roles, as directed by management. Qualifications and Essential Functions Experience Required: Experience in an industrial environment using related tools and equipment. Six (6)+ months of training & close supervision in position. For foreman : Six (6)+ months of experience in supervisory role. Education/Experience (REQUIRED): High School diploma or GED equivalent strongly preferred; Certification a plus. Skills/Abilities: Ability to work overtime in order to meet the needs of the operation. Acute visual ability to observe product nonconformance. Visual ability consisting of strong close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception. Perform intense manual labor with long work hours. Ability to stand for a long period of time; bend, stoop, climb, balance, kneel, crouch, crawl, and move around work area. Ability to use hands and fingers to handle or feel and reach with arms. Ability to lift and carry up to 55 lbs occasionally, and 20 lbs regularly. Demonstrates skill in operating equipment. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to read a minimum of Jaeger 2 or equivalent type and size letter at a distance of not less than 12 inches on a standard Jaeger test chart. Ability to utilize basic computer skills, (word, excel, type, email, etc.) MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
