RN PreOp PRN

JOB TITLE: Pre-Operative Registered Nurse GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES: Perform Preoperative nursing assessment. Review Patient Health History, Anesthesia History, Allergies, medications, and scheduled surgical procedure. Perform CLIA waived test as warranted. Assist in provision of nursing care to patients in an ambulatory surgical setting. Assume patient care following physician’s orders and center’s policies. Collaborate care with Anesthesia, Physicians, and Surgical team to provide optimal care for patient. Provide Education to patients and family members. Start IV access and maintain as ordered. Follow safety and infection standards.
