Pre-Op PACU Registered Nurse (PRN) (138)

JOB SUMMARY This position is for a Registered Nurse, Pre-op whose responsibility is to schedule surgical procedures and pre-operative visits, conduct pre-operative interviews, assess the outpatient surgical patient and develop a plan of care as well as performing outpatient care procedures to facilitate ordered interventions from credentialed physicians. This position utilizes the nursing process to assess, prioritize, plan, deliver and evaluate care provided to the neonate, infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric surgical population. This position assists with activities to promote optimal patient care and efficient resource utilization. The position reports to the Director of Surgical Services.
