About the role

This is an opportunity to lead property management for one of the largest private real estate firms in the country, with direct ownership of client relationships, team leadership, and market-level performance in San Diego.

LINCOLN PROPERTY COMPANY

Lincoln Property Company (LPC) is one of the largest private real estate firms in the United States, offering a fully integrated platform of real estate services across office, multifamily, life science, retail, industrial, data center, production studio, healthcare, government, university, and mixed-use assets. LPC's combined management and leasing portfolio on behalf of institutional clients exceeds 680 million square feet across the U.S., U.K., and Europe.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT

LPC pairs the resources and platform of a national firm with an entrepreneurial mindset at the market level. You'll be supported by training programs, mentorship, and a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment — but you'll be expected to run your market with real ownership.

We care about client trust, financial discipline, and doing what we say we're going to do. Our clients are corporate occupiers and institutional investors who rely on LPC to manage their assets and their capital with rigor and accountability.

THE ROLE

You'll own property management performance for LPC's San Diego market — leading teams, managing key client relationships, and directing the financial and operational discipline behind the portfolio.

A representative week might involve:

  • Meeting directly with a client to review asset, fund, or company objectives
  • Stepping in as the point of escalation on a complex tenant or client issue
  • Reviewing a Director's market reporting for compliance with financial policy
  • Directing preparation of an annual operating and capital budget
  • Tracking CAM/OpEx reconciliations against deadlines with the accounting team
  • Overseeing lease administration activity across the portfolio
  • Reviewing vendor contract compliance and sourcing decisions
  • Conducting a random physical inspection as part of the market's quality control program
  • Coaching a Director on staffing, performance management, or succession planning

You'll also support the Managing Director in preparing the market's administrative budget and in shaping how PM services are delivered across the region.

WHY THIS ROLE

This role offers direct client ownership at the market level, formal leadership of a property management team, and a seat close to the financial and operational decisions that drive portfolio performance. For the right person, it's a path toward broader geographic or regional PM leadership within one of the largest platforms in the industry.

WHO THRIVES HERE

The people who succeed in this role are operators and leaders in equal measure. They are:

  • Comfortable being the point of escalation on complex, high-stakes client issues
  • Fluent in financial detail — budgets, forecasts, CAM reconciliations, pricing models — without losing sight of the relationship
  • Natural people-leaders who can develop, staff, and hold teams accountable
  • Organized enough to run compliance and reporting across a full market
  • Credible with institutional clients and comfortable being their primary point of contact
  • Willing to get into the field for physical and administrative inspections, not just review reports

QUALIFICATIONS

The strongest candidates will likely have:

  • Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) and 10–15 years of related experience
  • Real Estate License where required by local regulation; RPA, CPM, or CCIM preferred
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office/Excel skills; Yardi, MRI, or Kardin experience preferred; AP and CMMS proficiency required
  • Direct experience with commercial office, retail, and indust
