Full-Time | Construction / Utilities | Field Operations About the Role We are seeking a reliable, hardworking Directional Drilling Laborer to support our horizontal directional drilling (HDD) crews in daily field operations. This role is essential for maintaining a safe, efficient, and productive jobsite. No HDD experience is required—just strong work ethic, willingness to learn, and ability to work in outdoor construction environments. Key Responsibilities Assist the HDD drill operator and locator with daily drilling operations Set up, clean, and maintain jobsite work areas Load, unload, and organize tools, materials, and drilling equipment Mix drilling fluids and assist with mud system maintenance Operate basic construction tools (shovels, wrenches, pipe wrenches, etc.) Pothole utilities using vacuum excavation or hand-dig methods Pull, lay, and prep conduit, pipe, and cable Assist with tracking drill head, maintaining bore path accuracy Perform daily equipment inspections and report issues Maintain strict adherence to safety procedures and PPE requirements Support restoration of jobsite (backfill, compaction, cleanup) Required Qualifications Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred but not required) Ability to lift 50–75 lbs consistently Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions Reliable transportation and consistent attendance Ability to follow direction and work as part of a team Experience in construction, utilities, or drilling is a plus Bending. lifting between 50 to 80 lbs., standing, walking, twisting, reaching, tolerate outdoor weather extreme hot or cold, rough terrain, and active construction environments.
