PT TXCHSE (GED) Instructor - Language Arts, Science, Social Studies, and Math Midland College | Midland, Texas JOB SUMMARY Instructors for the Texas Certificate of High School Equivalency (GED) will work in a classroom setting instructing students in Midland College’s Adult Education Program. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Instruct students who have achieved varying levels of mastery in the subject matter area (Language Arts, Social Science, Science, and Math) Teach students online, face-to-face, or a combination of the two modalities on a schedule as assigned by the TXCHSE (GED) Coordinator Communicate effectively and appropriately with students Integrate essential workplace competencies into the classroom setting Report and interpret test results for individual students Develop and promote a safe learning environment for all students Provide tutoring and additional instructional support to students as necessary Attend required staff meetings Complete the required 15 clock hours of professional development as assigned through the state training portal by the program’s Professional Development Coordinator Participate in student registration and orientation functions as necessary Other duties as assigned
