Position Overview: The Licensed Plumber manages the installation, maintenance, inspection, and repair of plumbing systems within a healthcare facility. This role ensures all systems run safely, efficiently, and in compliance with applicable codes and healthcare regulations to support patient care, staff operations, and infection control standards. Key Responsibilities: Install, support, and repair plumbing systems including water, sewer, gas, and specialized medical systems (e.g., medical gas, vacuum systems if certified) Perform preventative maintenance and routine inspections on plumbing infrastructure and fixtures. Diagnose issues, troubleshoot malfunctions, and complete prompt repairs to minimize disruption to hospital operations. Install and repair fixtures such as sinks, toilets, showers, valves, and piping systems. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to complete installations and repairs. Respond to emergency plumbing situations (e.g., leaks, system failures, flooding) including on call rotations. Ensure compliance with North Dakota plumbing codes, safety regulations, and hospital policies. Maintain correct records of work orders, maintenance logs, and inspections using CMMS systems. Collaborate with facilities, maintenance, and clinical teams to support hospital operations. Help with renovations, new construction, and system upgrades within the facility. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment always.
