Data Engineer

About Olyv Olyv (formerly SmartCoin) is a Bengaluru-based fintech building lending and financial products at scale. We're looking for a Data Engineer to build and scale the data infrastructure powering our credit, risk, and product decisions. Role Details Location: Bengaluru (On-site) Employment type: Full-time What You'll Do Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines across transactional, behavioural, and third-party data sources Own data warehouse architecture and optimize for performance, cost, and reliability Partner with Risk, Product, and Analytics teams to define data models and ensure data quality/governance Build and maintain real-time and batch data pipelines (streaming + scheduled jobs) Set up monitoring, alerting, and data quality checks to catch pipeline failures early Collaborate with Data Science/ML teams to productionize models and feature pipelines Ensure compliance with data security and privacy standards relevant to fintech/lending Must-Haves 2–6 years of experience in data engineering Strong SQL and Python Hands-on experience with distributed data systems (Spark, Kafka, or similar) Experience with cloud data warehouses GCC and orchestration tools (Airflow, dbt) Solid understanding of data modelling, schema design, and pipeline optimization Experience with GCP/Azure data stack Good to Have Fintech/lending domain experience Exposure to real-time streaming architectures Experience with data governance/compliance in regulated environments What We Offer Ownership of core data infrastructure at a fast-scaling fintech Direct collaboration with founders and cross-functional leads
