About the role
Spread good vibes and make every client feel at home. As a Sales Associate at our SoHo Flagship, you are at the heart of the Faherty experience — the first smile, the thoughtful recommendation, the genuine connection that turns a first-time visitor into a lifelong client. You will bring passion for the brand, a natural curiosity about people, and a commitment to delivering a warm, elevated shopping experience every single day. Whether you’re guiding a client through a full wardrobe build, sharing the story behind a fabric, or following up with a personal note, you’ll play a meaningful role in building the kind of relationships that define Faherty.
What you’ll do:
Sales
Client Engagement & Service Excellence
- Create meaningful, one-on-one connections with every client through thoughtful discovery, active listening, and genuine curiosity, ensuring each interaction feels intentional and personal.
- Consistently deliver a high standard of service, anticipating client needs and creating an environment that feels warm, welcoming, and effortlessly elevated.
- Process in-store sales, returns, and exchanges with efficiency and care.
Sales Performance & Outfitting
- Take ownership of personal sales goals, contributing to overall store performance through consistent, high-quality selling behaviors and a strong sense of accountability.
- Utilize styling and outfitting techniques to inspire multiple-unit purchases, helping clients build complete wardrobes rather than single-item transactions.
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of product — including fabrications, fit, and versatility — to confidently guide clients and enhance their shopping experience.
Clienteling & Long-Term Relationship Building
- Capture meaningful client insights within the clienteling platform, ensuring each profile is detailed and actionable to support personalized outreach.
- Participate in outreach and follow-up efforts, contributing to client retention, repeat business, and overall store performance.
- Maintain up-to-date client information, requests, and product feedback to support a seamless, personalized experience across visits.
Operations
Support Store Operations
- Assist with opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and day-to-day operational tasks as needed.
- Utilize available resources consistently and effectively to support a smooth store environment.
- Partner with the team on supply and replenishment needs, communicating any opportunities to leadership.
Visuals
Floor Standards & Brand Storytelling
- Maintain strong floor presence by ensuring product is well-presented, organized, replenished, and ready for selling at all times.
- Serve as a brand ambassador, embodying the lifestyle, aesthetic, and values of Faherty Brand in every client interaction and through a polished personal presentation.
- Bring product to life through compelling storytelling and a strong understanding of styling and the Faherty lifestyle.
- Support seasonal floor moves and visual updates in partnership with the team.
People
Team Collaboration & Flagship Mindset
- Work closely with peers and leadership to support daily business needs, sharing knowledge, energy, and accountability to achieve collective goals.
- Operate with a heightened sense of ownership and awareness, recognizing the visibility and impact of a flagship location and consistently delivering at that level.
- Contribute to a positive, inclusive team culture that embodies the Faherty Brand values and makes everyone — clients and teammates alike — feel welcomed and valued.
Physical Requirements
- Available when we are open for business, including evenings, weekends, and peak traffic periods.
- Able to stand and walk for the duration of a shift and maneuver the sales floor and back-of-house areas effectively.
- Able to bend, reach, stretch for product as well as lift, carry, and move at least 40 lbs.
- Comfortable climbing ladders, kneeling, and moving around regularly to execute visual standards and organize inventory.
- Capacity to work in a fast-paced environment, pivoting quickly between guest service, administration, and physical inventory processing.
What you’ll have:
- Previous experience in a client-facing retail or hospitality environment, with a strong interest in styling, sales, and relationship-building.
- A genuine passion for people and an authentic, curious approach to client connection.
- Strong product and styling sensibility, with the ability to confidently guide clients through outfitting and wardrobing.
