Life and Critical Illness Underwriting Co-Signer

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Life and Critical Illness Underwriting Co-Signer based in Canada. This is a senior underwriting role focused on delivering high-quality, competitive decisions across complex and high-value life and critical illness insurance cases. You will combine deep technical underwriting expertise with coaching and mentorship to strengthen the capabilities of the broader underwriting team. The role offers the opportunity to influence decision quality, risk management, customer experience, and business outcomes. You will work closely with underwriters, underwriting leaders, Risk Management, medical specialists, research teams, and new business partners. The position also plays an important role in preparing underwriting teams for a digital future through data, technology, and AI-enabled decision support. Success requires sound judgment, strong communication, curiosity, and the ability to balance risk, service, development, and business priorities.
