CNC Machinist Level 3

SUMMARY Tends one or more machine tools, or special purpose machines, to manufacture metal work pieces to specifications on production and piecework basis by performing the following duties. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned 3.- CNC MACHINIST LEVEL III (at least 5 years of experience with CNC machines): Requirements for CNC Machinist Level II are required for CNC Machinist Level III Set up, programing, editing and operating complex CNC machines Provide full machining process for complex parts Estimate runtime per operation based on the material characteristics, shape/configuration, and available machinery capacity. Assist with the development of the product design and functionality and improves manufacturing methods. Select appropriate inserts, and tools to improve the production time, while minimizing scrap material. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
