Director - Accounting & Compliance

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Director - Accounting & Compliance based in India. This is a senior finance leadership opportunity responsible for establishing and scaling the India finance function within a growing international organization. You will serve as the primary finance leader for the India entity, overseeing accounting, statutory compliance, tax, payroll finance support, treasury coordination, and financial governance. The role combines strategic leadership with hands-on ownership of financial close, reporting, controls, and regulatory obligations. You will lead the transition from an outsourced finance model to a scalable in-house operation, establishing processes and controls that support long-term growth. You will partner closely with global accounting teams, senior stakeholders, external advisors, and cross-functional teams. The role also provides an opportunity to play a key role in an ERP implementation while strengthening financial governance and operational excellence.
