Position Summary As a Heavy Equipment Mechanic II, you're an experienced technician who keeps complex systems running in a high-production industrial environment. You'll diagnose, repair, and maintain hydraulic, electrical, powertrain, and undercarriage systems — the advanced troubleshooting that keeps our operations at full uptime. You'll also help shape the next generation of mechanics by mentoring junior team members. Schedule • Monday - Friday • 7:00 am -5:50 pm What You'll Do Diagnose and repair hydraulic, electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical failures on heavy equipment Perform advanced repairs on excavators, loaders, material handlers, cranes, forklifts, balers, shredders, and industrial processing equipment Troubleshoot engine, transmission, hydrostatic, and undercarriage systems Utilize computerized diagnostic software and OEM service manuals Perform welding, fabrication, and structural repairs Conduct field service repairs and emergency breakdown troubleshooting Rebuild engines, hydraulic cylinders, pumps, and major components Train and mentor junior mechanics Maintain accurate maintenance records and parts documentation Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and operational standards What You Bring 3+ years of heavy equipment maintenance experience Vocational or technical training in heavy equipment or diesel technology Welding and torching experience Strong mathematical and mechanical aptitude Sharp attention to detail Comfort working outdoors in all weather conditions Physical ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform manual labor Experience in recycling, construction, mining, or industrial operations preferred Military experience relevant to mechanical or technical fields welcomed Why PADNOS?
