Director Of Nursing

Job Summary The Director of Nursing is a leadership role responsible for overseeing and coordinating all aspects of nursing care within our Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF). This position requires a highly skilled and experienced nurse leader with strong organizational, managerial, and clinical skills to ensure the delivery of high-quality care to residents. Key Responsibilities Clinical Leadership: Provide clinical leadership and oversight to nursing staff, ensuring adherence to evidence-based practices and regulatory standards. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement comprehensive care plans for residents. Staff Management: Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate nursing staff, including RNs, LPNs, and CNAs. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting professional development and continuous learning. Quality Assurance and Compliance: Monitor and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations governing nursing care in our SNF. Implement quality assurance and improvement initiatives to enhance resident outcomes and satisfaction. Clinical Documentation: Oversee accurate and timely completion of clinical documentation, including resident assessments, care plans, and progress notes. Conduct regular audits to ensure documentation meets regulatory standards. Patient and Family Relations: Establish and maintain effective communication with residents, families, and caregivers. Address and resolve concerns or issues related to patient care in a timely and compassionate manner. Budgetary Oversight: Collaborate with the finance department to develop and manage the nursing department budget. Monitor expenditures, identify cost-saving opportunities, and ensure efficient resource utilization. Education and Training: Develop and implement ongoing education and training programs for nursing staff to enhance clinical skills and knowledge. Stay abreast of industry best practices and incorporate new trends into nursing practice. Emergency Preparedness: Develop and implement emergency response plans for nursing services. Ensure nursing staff is trained and prepared for various emergency scenarios.
