The Opportunity

We are opening a new Primary Care clinic in Waterville, Maine and are looking for a Practice Manager to join the team! As a Practice Manager at one of our Advanced Primary Care location, you will play a pivotal role in the day-to-day operational efficiency of the clinic while contributing to its long-term strategic goals. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in healthcare administration, financial management, and team leadership.

Our Waterville location will be our first co-located Urgent Care and Advanced Primary Care site, creating a unique opportunity for collaboration across both practices. A strong Practice Manager will partner closely with the Urgent Care Practice Manager to foster a one-team culture, promote seamless collaboration between Urgent Care and Advanced Primary Care staff, and ensure an exceptional patient experience from start to finish.

Your Impact

  • Operational Management:
  • Oversee and optimize daily clinic operations to ensure efficient and effective patient care.
  • Efficiently manage and lead the scheduling operations for the clinic, ensuring optimal utilization of resources and staff to meet patient needs.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers and support staff to maintain a high standard of patient service.
  • Enforce clinic policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Act as the point of contact for any patient feedback, working with the Medical Leadership team to address concerns.
  • Place and manage orders for medical supplies, equipment, and other necessary materials in a timely and cost-effective manner.
  • Monitor clinic financial performance and coordinate with the finance department to track expenses related to supplies and ensure adherence to the budget.
  • Promote responsible stewardship of organizational resources through data-drive decision making and process improveme nt.
  • Team Leadership:
  • Recruit, train, supervise, and engage clinic staff, fostering a positive and collaborative and supportive work environment.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback to enhance staff development.
  • Foster teamwork and effective communication among all clinic team members.
  • Strategic Planning:
  • Collaborate with the Regional Leadership team to achieve key financial, quality and operational performance metrics that support sustainable clinic growth.
  • Support practice initiatives focused on improving patient attribution, access, retention and long-term value-based care performance.
  • Analyze market trends and competitive landscape to identify growth opportunities.
  • Implement strategies to enhance the clinic's market presence and community engagement.
  • Quality Assurance:
  • Lead population health initiatives focused on preventive care, chronic disease management, care gap closure and improving quality performance measures.
  • Monitor value based care performance metrics and collaborate with providers and clinical teams to improve patient outcomes, patient engagement and overall quality score.
  • Monitor and maintain compliance with quality standards, regulatory requirements, and accreditation criteria.
  • Implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
  • Communication and Collaboration:
  • Partner with your leadership team along with corporate resources to ensure effective communication and goal alignment.
  • Partner with providers, care teams and corporate stakeholders to advance population health strategies and achieve organization al quality and financial objectives.
  • Partner closely with the Urgent Care Practice Manager to foster a collaborative, one-team culture across our co-located Urgent Care and Advanced Primary Care practices, ensuring seamless operations, strong cross-functional teamwork, and an exceptional patient experience.

Who You Are

  • Exceptional people manager and team leader: 1-3 years of demonstrated success in leading, mentoring, and growing teams
  • Experience in similar roles: Demonstrated skills in medical practice management, human resources, and data analysis
  • Driven and self-motivated: Ability to work independently, possess a level of initiative and enthusiasm to help drive results
  • Effective communicator (written and verbal) and cross collaborator: Ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with team members and stakeholders across the organization
