Storekeeper

Winners, the leading supermarket chain in Mauritius is looking for a dynamic and self-motivated individual to join its existing team. Key Responsibilities: • Follow and respect the ordering/delivery schedule and organize the reception team accordingly • Ensure lorries follow set guidelines for loading bay access for fresh and dry products • Maintain an updated logbook of supplier arrival times for cross-reference and scrutiny • Ensure reception working tools, such as mobile devices, temperature probes, and weighing scales, are functioning correctly • Confirm all necessary documents and assistance are available before product reception • Verify product quantities against purchase orders and supplier invoices • Assist the Manager with inventory tasks, including perpetual and general inventory • Notify the Store Supervisor or Management of any disputes regarding quantity or quality immediately • Inform and note any anomalies related to quantity or price • Manage product returns during supplier deliveries as per established procedures • Ensure the working environment complies with Mauritius Fire & Rescue Services requirements • Keep aisles between racks clear and ensure fire extinguishers are not obstructed Job Requirements: • CPE or any other equivalent qualifications • Experience in the retail sector will constitute an advantage • Attention to detail to ensure thorough inspection of product quality and expiry dates • Efficient time management to meet delivery schedules and complete tasks • Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and management • Commitment to maintaining a clean and organized store environment • Ability to work collaboratively with various teams • Ability to work under pressure • Prepared to work on Saturdays as well as odd hours We are an equal opportunity employer and are committed to creating a diverse and inclusive environment for all team members.
