Assistant or Associate Professor of Psychology (53759)

The Department of Social Sciences at Claflin University invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor. We welcome applicants from all areas of psychology . The successful candidates will: Teach undergraduate courses across the psychology curriculum, including introductory, research methods/statistics, and advanced courses in their area of expertise. Develop and teach specialized courses related to forensic psychology, criminal behavior, substance use, or rehabilitation (depending on area of expertise). Mentor psychology majors. Engage in an active program of research and scholarship, with opportunities for student collaboration. Seek external funding to support research and program development. Contribute to departmental growth, including efforts toward the development of graduate programs in psychology. Provide service to the department, university, and profession. Opportunities for online teaching and interdisciplinary collaboration are available.
