For more information about us, visit our website https://www.peacockgapgolfclub.com POSITION SUMMARY: The Clubhouse Bartender has the primary duty to plan, organize and direct operations of the bar areas. This person will fulfill the needs of the food servers during an event and/or serving guests who choose to locate themselves at the bar. California state law requires bartenders to be 21 years of age or older. COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS INCLUDE: $21.25-$26.25 per hour, based on relevant experience to the role. 401K with dollar for dollar match up to 4%. Complimentary golf. Flexible scheduling. JOB DUTIES INCLUDE: Must be knowledgeable about all the draft and bottled beers, as well as the wine offerings. This requires palate knowledge and use of descriptive terms. Bartenders must ring all beverage and food items into the bar and either collect payments from guests or ensure correct transfer of charges to the final billing of the event. Other duties include assigned side work to set up and/or breakdown of bar, stocking of glassware, supplies and inventory, cleaning and organization of working area. QUALIFICATIONS: Must be at least 21 years of age or older. Must be able to work a variety of shifts, especially weekends, up to 4 or 5 days per week. 2 years’ experience bartending, preferably in a banquet/event setting Valid Food Handler Card required; Serve Safe Sanitation and Safety card preferred. Completed Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) certification within 60 days of hire. Excellent customer service skills, Must enjoy working with and interacting with the public and other employees. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work with minimal supervision and multi-task. Detail orientated with good short and long term memory.
