GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES: Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, checking rail cars and trucks for foreign materials; loading trucks and rail cars with hydrated lime, quick lime, and by-products to legal weight; observe, monitor and report any conditions that could lead to product nonconformity or other irregularity; participate in safety meetings and training sessions; inspect work areas for safety hazards before beginning work activity; climb onto the top of rail cars, trucks, and/or loading platforms; load rail cars and trucks to proper weights; during loading, uses rail switches and helps loader operator to take rail cars from one track to another; take and record tank measurements for inventory purposes; rail car inspection and cleaning; and other duties as assigned by management.
