ICC Wales Job Description and Person Specification DEPARTMENT Marketing POSITION Marketing Executive GRADE F REPORTS TO ICC Wales Marketing Manager Note: This job description in no way states or implies that those duties listed below are the only ones to be performed by the employee occupying this position. Employees will be required to perform any other job-related duties assigned by their Manager as requested. POSITION OVERVIEW Assist in the day to day management of the ICC Wales marketing strategy including social media channels, email campaigns, events and websites and delivery of effective campaigns and content across all platforms to drive business enquiries and grow ICC Wales as a globally recognised convention centre. The role will involve pro-actively monitoring and engaging across all social media platforms, website content management, email campaign delivery as well as providing Marketing activity support in the delivery of the ongoing Marketing plans. Working and supporting the senior team members with the day to day running of the marketing department to ensure all deadlines are achieved. Work with the senior team to develop the strategy for the marketing department. The ideal candidate will have a passion for business events with proven experience in creating a variety of corporate content that drives leads and engagement across different marketing channels. The ideal candidate will also have experience working in a commercial, fast paced environment. Effective time management, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects, simultaneously, is essential. GENERAL Responsible for helping to maintain a customer-focused culture which support the values expressed in the company ambition and the company business goals of profitability and service quality. Establishes and maintain effective and positive relationships within the team as well as other departments. Complies with the company health and safety, hygiene policies as well as all other company policies and procedures. Report all situations that may present a danger to guests or staff immediately to the relevant people and take action to rectify the situation if possible. Responsible for regular dissemination of information, which is to encompass organisational and individual activities. Manage and deliver across a number of projects simultaneously keeping the Marketing Director, Marketing Manager and other departments informed on the status of projects. Budgets Maintains an understanding and acceptance of the monthly budgets and a motivation to achieving these. Responsible for monthly, quarterly and annual budgets in conjunction with the Senior Executive team. Assisting Senior management to effectively managing and controlling and monitoring any budgets. Following all procedures and approval for expenditure. Standards Responsible for delivering the ultimate in professional internal/external customer service with the standards expected and trained by the Department. Responsible for establishing and maintaining all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) within their department(s), including but not limited to employee, customer, financial and health and safety objectives. Maintains an understanding of the standards set and expected for the Department and is responsible for the enforcement of these standards through associated job requirements. Controls Responsible for setting controls relating to the above set standards, enforcing these controls and taking appropriate action when necessary. Responsible for implementing key performance indicators for the department based on the controls devised. Proofreading marketing materials to ensure spelling and grammar is correct. Ensuring that the brand is represented correctly, across multiple channels and medias. The Marketing Executive is required to use project management and organisational skills to track projects and ensure that schedules are met. Required to comply with GDPR regulations, implement appropriate data collection activities and data transfer to ensure excellent data integrity across all data management systems. Structure Team Respects the organisational structure in place and the duties and responsibilities of all team members. Conducts yourself professionally and with respect for the professionalism of all other team members and the roles they play in achieving the departmental objectives. Ensuring you are trained in all relevant courses applicable to your position and remains passionate about achieving the ultimate internal/external customer experience. Communicating regularly with the Marketing Director and Marketing Manager on all activity. Working with the wider marketing team (including design team)and externals, to produce innovative and creative marketing solutions, fulfilling briefs from the Marketing Director and Marketing Manager. Ensuring all deadlines are achieved and prioritising work schedules as required. Delivery Social Media Responsible for updating, creating assets and scheduling content over all social media platforms and retaining a consistent presence of ICC Wales on social media as well as acting as a key point of contact for social media enquiries. Required to respond to enquiries received through the social media inboxes and marketing enquiries from the website in a timely manner and reflective of the brand. Required to increase engagement and interaction across social media and develop loyal, online relationships with social voices/communities, as well as managing and maintaining relationships with key voices within the industry Required to use creative copy and write accurate, target driven copy in all social media communications, whilst maintaining corporate standards with excellent writing. Responsible for communicating any complaints or comments made on social media to the relevant department and ensuring satisfactory outcome of complaints. Have a good knowledge and awareness of social media and new developments within the digital landscape. Assisting with the planning, developing and implementing digital strategies across the ICC Wales social media channels. Website Content Management Utilising content management skills you will have responsibility for maintaining content and layout for ICC Wales websites to ensure all information is correct and up to date, considering customer journeys and user experience. Email Campaign Delivery You will be responsible for the scheduling and delivery of email campaigns, liaising with the Marketing Manager, design team and other stakeholders. Identify opportunities for implementing marketing campaigns into all social media/ digital platforms that feed into the overall marketing objectives Responsible for assisting with the planning and implementation of multi-channel marketing campaigns, and tracking the return of these. General Marketing Support Activities Assist ICC Wales team to oversee the marketing strategy and ensure all facilities and events within ICC Wales are promoted. Responsible for carrying out research for various marketing and digital trends and of competitor activity and present creative ideas to the team.
