Recovery Coach Substance Use Disorder

The Recovery Coach assists in implementing/creating a recovery environment and acts as an advocate for the needs and rights of every individual along with sharing relevant personal experiences related to the “Recovery Process” for the benefit of individuals in recovery. Please submit a cover letter sharing your lived experience with substance use disorder. Significant Duties: Work as a member of the SUD, Substance Use Disorder team, providing peer support services to individuals. Recovery Coach relates to consumers with their own lived experience with substance use disorder. Must adhere to and apply the Michigan Recovery Coach Code of Ethics to all duties. Will be expected to provide direct services to participants receiving mental health services. Individual and group facilitation and education related to recovery, community resources, community integration, activities of daily living, symptom management, and other topics that support self-determination. Must be able to participate in a team environment with multidisciplinary staff members. Timely completion of all assigned work is expected. Will be expected to transport participants in agency vehicle. Act as a role model for individuals seeking to achieve or maintain long term stability. Attend and participate in regular team meetings and supervision as required. Adhere to Agency and Program standards, philosophy, policies and procedures. Must be available for additional duties as assigned.
