Axle is seeking a Clinical Laboratory Scientist to join our vibrant team at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) supporting the Clinical Center (CC) located in Bethesda, MD.

Position Information:
To independently provide support services to satisfy the overall operational objectives of the National Institutes of Health/Clinical Center/Department of Transfusion Medicine/Infectious Diseases Section.
Additional Qualifications:
Certifications & Licenses
• Accredited clinical laboratory training program in laboratory science
• Minimum of three (3) years in a clinical diagnostic laboratory environment is preferred
• BS MT (CLS) certification or equivalent preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in chemical, biological, clinical, or medical laboratory science, or medical technology from an accredited institution is required.

• Strong Experience in performing Molecular based testing and Serology testing required

Deliverables:
• Work products and documents related to performing laboratory procedures for specimen handling and processing, test analyses, reporting and maintaining records of patient test results - Ad-Hoc
• Work products and documents related to quality, including detection of reagent problems, equipment malfunction or need to replace reagents; identify problems that may adversely affect test performance or reporting of test results; correct problem; notify staff - Ad-Hoc
• Clean Equipment - Ad-Hoc
• Run Validation - Ad-Hoc
• Inspect Equipment - Ad-Hoc
• Work products and documents related to compliance with all aspects of laboratory safety and QC/QA/QI policies and procedures; document all quality control activities, instrument calibrations and maintenance performed - Ad-Hoc
• Work products and documents related to organizing daily workload; ordering reagents and supplies required for specialty testing for equipment and supply contracts - Ad-Hoc
• Work products and documents related to compliance with accrediting and inspections agency requirements - Ad-Hoc
• Documentation of completion of required training and competencies with TTV Lead Technologist: Training, Competency and Continuing Education to meet TTV, DTM and CC requirements - Ad-Hoc
