Everything we do at A Second Chance, Inc. is in support of our five overarching goals: To educate communities to prevent the cycle of child drug and alcohol abuse To provide children and families with a kinship alternative as a primary placement option To extend knowledge gained and expand organizational capacity with traditional and non-traditional constituents To enhance long-term financial security To maintain state-of-the-art facilities, technologies, and operations Position Summary: The File Compliance Worker is responsible for organizing, maintaining, and tracking physical and electronic case records to ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory standards. This role supports ASCI’s mission by ensuring accurate recordkeeping, timely document processing, and efficient access to critical information that enables high-quality services for youth and families. Key Responsibilities: File and organize incoming paperwork from caseworkers according to established guidelines Retrieve and track file locations upon request Maintain and manage active and closed case files (physical and electronic) Facilitate off-site storage and record retention processes Copy, scan, fax, and distribute documents as needed, including large copy requests Sort and distribute incoming mail Monitor and maintain electronic filing and scanning systems Create and maintain tracking logs, spreadsheets, and reports (daily, weekly, monthly) Ensure forms inventory is stocked and organized Participate in internal and external audits to ensure compliance Support special projects and other administrative duties as assigned Requirements: Education Required: High School Diploma or equivalent Preferred: Associate’s degree in business administration, or a related field Experience Required: Two (2) years of related experience and/or training Preferred: Experience with a central filing system Skills & Knowledge Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to follow detailed instructions with accuracy and consistency Strong organizational and time management skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and SharePoint Attention to detail and accuracy in recordkeeping Ability to manage confidential information responsibly Certifications & Requirements Current Act 33, State Police, and FBI Clearances TB Test and Physical Physical Demands: This job description is intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed.
