About the role
Charlotte Radiology is seeking an ABR-certified or ABR-eligible, fellowship-trained Diagnostic Radiologist with Nuclear Medicine certification or advanced nuclear medicine experience to join our highly specialized Nuclear Medicine section in Charlotte, NC. This partnership-track opportunity offers the chance to practice advanced PET/CT and diagnostic nuclear medicine within a collaborative team of radiologists while leveraging the resources and stability of one of the largest private radiology practices in the Southeast. The successful candidate will join a five-radiologist Nuclear Medicine team based at our flagship hospital in Charlotte, working a combination of onsite and remote from-home shifts. Our team supports a rapidly growing oncology imaging program through our partnership with Levine Cancer Institute and provides comprehensive nuclear medicine services throughout the Atrium Health system. Nuclear Medicine Section Highlights: • Join a dedicated team of five radiologists within a highly subspecialized Nuclear Medicine section. • State of the art PET/CT imaging, with studies generated at four fixed scanners and one mobile scanner. • Broad PET/CT services, including: ◦ FDG ◦ DOTATATE ◦ PSMA ◦ FES imaging ◦ Amyloid • Opportunity to participate in multidisciplinary tumor boards and collaborate directly with oncology specialists. • Comprehensive Diagnostic Radiology-based nuclear medicine practice, including general nuclear medicine, PET/CT, neuro PET, and pediatric imaging. • Nuclear Medicine section members rotate through General/Body coverage; no mammography, musculoskeletal, or neuroradiology responsibilities required. Position Requirements: • ABR certified or ABR eligible. • Fellowship training in Diagnostic Radiology with Nuclear Medicine certification or equivalent advanced nuclear medicine experience. • Integrated Nuclear Medicine and Radiology residency pathway candidates will also be considered. • Additional Nuclear Radiology or Nuclear Medicine certification is preferred but not required. • Expertise in PET/CT, SPECT/CT, and diagnostic nuclear medicine interpretation. • General radiology interpretation skills.
