About the role
Position Summary: The Front Desk Attendant is responsible for greeting and welcoming customers, answering the phone, processing registrations and payments, and answering diverse informational questions. In addition, various office duties, such as copying, filling, typing, data entry and organizing will be performed. Work Location : Wood Dale Recreation Center, 111 E. Foster Ave., Wood Dale, IL 60191 and various parks and facilities throughout the District Hours General hours of work are weekday mornings. Might occasionally be asked to cover an evening or weekend shift. Must have the ability to work a flexible schedule based on the operational needs of the Park District. The front desk is open the following hours: Monday – Friday – (first shift) 8:25am – 3:00pm (second shift) 3:00pm – 9:00pm Saturday – 8:00am – 3:00pm Sunday – 8:00am – 12:00pm We are currently specifically hiring for first shift Monday, Wednesday & Friday - 8:25am - 3:00pm Benefits: Part Time -NON- IMRF Part Time PTO – After one year of employment. Answer the telephone, transfer calls, and take accurate messages for staff. Performs various office duties, including but not limited to, filing, copying, data entry, typing, etc. Process registrations, refunds, transfers, and membership sales. Maintains a good rapport with all customers and provides exceptional customer service. Open and/or close the entire facility when needed. Maintains a current and accurate knowledge of all Park District programs, special events and facilities as well as those within the community. Follows Park District and departmental safety, personnel and administrative policies, procedures, and ordinances. Attend staff training sessions as scheduled. Communicate with staff through oral and written communication. Maintains a clean and organized work environment. Adhere to dress code. Assists other staff with various projects/assignments, as directed. Attend work on regular basis. Perform related job duties as assigned Attends meetings, as assigned Complete necessary forms and logs for programs and agency
